What is an RSS feed?
RSS is commonly referred to as “Really Simple Syndication”. RSS is a format which is used to publish works that are frequently updated. Blog entries, news headlines, audio and video are among the most common feeds. An RSS feed contains full or summarized text in addition to other important information about the author.
When you subscribe to a feed you are signing up to receive all new updates or posts from the feed source. These feeds are read by an RSS reader. Most internet browsers are set up with their own feed readers but there are many others. Custom feed readers can be placed on your web site or blog and are an easy way to display the latest news and updates from your favorite sites.
