Castle Village Farm’s Victory at Last ran a non-threatening 6th in the 5th race at Aqueduct on Wednesday, November 28th. Sent off at 10-1, Victory at Last broke from post position 10 and was never able to get close to the rail, running in the four-path for most of the race and then fading in the stretch.

We’ll try again in a two-turn race when racing moves to the inner track at Aqueduct in December.

Castle Village Farm’s four-year-old NY-bred filly, Victoryat Last (by Victory Gallop) makes her first start in our colors in the 5th race at Aqueduct on Wednesday, November 28th.

We claimed Victory at Last out of a NY-bred allowance/optional claimer on October 12th. CVF trainer Bruce Brown took some time to put much-needed weight on her and get her a couple of stamina-building breezes. We’re looking for a strong performance under talented apprentice jockey Wilmer Garcia.

Castle Village Farm’s newest claim, the four-year-old NY-bred filly Victory at Last, breezed a strong five furlongs on the Belmont training track Saturday, November 10. According to trainer Bruce Brown, she came out of the breeze in good shape, and we’re looking for a race in the second half of November at Aqueduct.

Original plans to run on November 14 had to be scrapped because Hurricane Sandy and the subsequent nor’easter caused Victory at Last to miss too many days of training.
