Castle Village Farm’s newest claim, three-year-old Classic R and B, ran a solid 3rd in Belmont’s 9th race on Friday, May 18th. Stepping up in class off the claim, and sent off by the public as a 39-1 longshot, Classic R and B, under David Cohen, tracked the early leaders in the mile and a sixteenth turf event, made an inside move off the far turn to briefly gain the lead, then was caught in the homestretch, missing the win by less than two lengths. He earned his highest lifetime Beyer speed figure in the race.
