Castle Village Farm’s four-year-old Bishop of Nola tries once again to make his season debut this Friday, May 27th, in the 4th race at Belmont. Bishop of Nola, a turf specialist, has been rained out twice this season already, and the weather forecast for Friday is uncertain, but we’re hoping the race will stay on the grass.

The race is a New York-bred N2X allowance, with a field of seven. David Cohen rides Bishop of Nola for CVF trainer Bruce Brown. Bishop of Nola, breaking from post position three, is likely to have the early lead, and will then need to fend off challenges from stakes winner Gimme Credit (in for the optional $35,000 claiming tag) and Fair Hill shipper Shrimp Dancer.
