Castle Village Farm’s four-year-old Bishop of Nola placed 3rd in his season debut at Belmont on May 27th, a NY-bred N2X allowance at a mile on the turf.

The race was Bishop of Nola’s first since the end of the turf racing season last fall, and, as usual, he went to the lead early, led to the quarter pole, but was eventually passed by the two race favorites in deep stretch, while fighting back gamely to hold the show spot.
