Castle Village Farm’s four-year-old NY-bred gelding Bishop of Nola returns from his winter break on March 11th, taking up residence once again in Bruce Brown’s barn at Belmont and getting ready for the start of the turf racing season next month.

CVF claimed Bishop of Nola for $25,000 at Saratoga last August. In four subsequent starts for us, he had a win, a second and a third, earning over $41,000. When turf racing ended, Bishop of Nola went to Mike Shrader’s In-Front Training Center in Ghent, NY, where he’s been keeping in shape waiting for the snow to melt and the grass to be visible once again.
