Castle Village Farm’s three-year-old Bishop of Nola scored a huge win at Saratoga on Saturday, August 14th, running away from the field in a NY-bred allowance to win by 5 1/2 lengths.

Bishop of Nola, whom CVF claimed just two weeks earlier and who is trained for us by Bruce Brown., led all the way in the mile and a sixteenth turf race and drew off down the stretch, under urging from jockey Javier Castellano. It was the horse’s third lifetime win, and lifted his earnings to over $72,000. The win was the third of the meet for Bruce Brown, and the third of the day for Castellano. Bishop of Nola earned a very solid Beyer speed figure of 88 for the win.

Next for Bishop of Nola will be a second-level allowance at Belmont.
