Iguazu has debut race at Aqueduct, will head to Florida. Our two-year-old colt Iguazu (Smoke Glacken-Green Jeans) has had his first career start, at Aqueduct on November 21st, in an open-company maiden special weight at 5 ½ furlongs.  The major purpose of the race was to show him what racing is like, while he was still a two year old.  And that it did.  He had a tough trip, getting pinched back at the break, so we figure the experience should set him up well for the future. Bill Turner will be taking Iguazu to the Palm Meadows training center in Florida and plans to race him at Gulfstream Park over the winter, where he’ll gradually lengthen out into races of a mile and up.
